Home Learning
Woodbridge Park understands the complexities of making remote / home learning provision for the variety of children and young people who would normally attend with us.
All children and young people who attend one of our main centres are provided with a weekly timetable that we recommend they follow at home.
The online work and paper-based work provided is approximately in line with our on-site curriculum, with approximately the same topics and tasks. Differences appear in the manner in which explanations are provided for new material and also in how accessible resources are made.
We would expect between 3-5 hours of work to be completed daily, dependent on the child’s emotional state and learning needs.
We have made the decision to offer pre-existing online resources available for Maths, English and Literacy Development that can be accessed anywhere using any device. This use of pre-existing online curricular, with weekly work set by qualified teachers is complemented by a range of paper-based or emailed resources and teacher explanations.
WPES Teaching staff should be phoning children regularly, some daily, to check that the work is understood to enable any questions to be asked and to provide any guidance.
Children and parents can also email into centre staff to ask for support at any time:

ks3@woodbridgepark.hounslow.sch.uk
ks4@woodbridgepark.hounslow.sch.uk
cate@woodbridgepark.hounslow.sch.uk
commsroll@woodbridgepark.hounlsow.sch.uk
When work is emailed in, it will be marked within a week by qualified teachers. Some centres will give a time when staff will come and safely collect completed work and hand over more work.
Please see here more detail to our approach to remote / home learning.
If you are not satisfied or are concerned about the quantity and quality of work your child is being provided with at home, please use the email addresses to raise the concern with leaders at your child’s centre:
