Woodbridge Park Education Service

Safeguarding

The welfare and safety of all children and young people is Woodbridge Park’s first priority.

All our staff are trained regularly in safeguarding and child protection.

We follow all national and local guidance in relation to safeguarding and child protection and will use all internal and external means available to secure the welfare, wellbeing and safety of children and young people.

We follow Safer Recruitment guidance rigorously to ensure that all adults who work or volunteer at Woodbridge Park are vetted with all checks made before anyone commences with us. We expect all our staff, volunteers and visitors to have the same high regard for the welfare, wellbeing and safety of all children and young people and to follow agreed procedures for following up any concerns.

We work intensively with Children’s Social Care and a range of agencies to keep children and young people safe. Our partnerships are crucial for providing essential wrap-around care and support to those children and families in need.

We use a comprehensive Child Protection tool called My Concern where all concerns around a child or young person are logged, followed up and tracked so that we can identify patterns and provide instant access to robust record keeping.

Please see our policy below which outlines in more detail our expectations and procedures relating to safeguarding and child protection.
